Rustic Rock? What is this cross?

I recently purchased a few pullets that were labeled Rustic Rocks. They are small black chicks with a yellow dot on top of their head. I cant seem to find any information about this breed or cross on google. I was thinking maybe Maran and Barred Rock cross. Does anyone know what cross this consists of?

I’m not familiar with them either, but I just bought six at tractor supply this morning. They get their chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery, and I assume it’s a cross they have developed. I’m going to check Hoover’s website first chance I get.

There is mention of rustic ramblers. Male black copper Marans over barred rock hen. It may be the same.

They were not mentioned on Hoover’s site, but the photo at Tractor Supply showed a barred hen. I know a solid rooster over a barred hen produces a sex link, so you could be right about the cross.

So I just called Hoovers Hatchery to inquire of this specific cross and was told that this a new variety created by Hoovers Hatchery thats currently being tested. She was unable to tell me the cross so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Id just call ot a mutt lol seems most hatcheries are selling more mixed breeds these days then pure breeds

Since the photo I saw showed a barred adult hen, I don’t think this is the cross.
