I tend to agree with the last post. If there haveing any trouble feeding, I think they should be culled a.s.a.p, a far quicker death than malnutrition.

My husband worked on a 'meat' chicken farm when in England, and he had to cull many different deformed birds, I hated it but knew it was for the best.
However that said, if they can eat and drink - more power to you!!

I realy hope they thrive with you! Wishing you the best!

I'm sorry , chics are cute in all, ive tried to with FREE stamped all over the ads give away beautiful Cochin Roos i rescued, reply has been can you drive for day and half to deliever to us, we would be happy to have them? I work for a living, *sorry* venting, unfortunately the Cochins will be dinner , I'm DONE with trusting others.....

Instead of making them eat dry food, try turning it into mush, it would be easier for them. They are also still young enough their jaw may eventually line back up if they survive long enough.

Good luck and I would have just told him free, if he would not have done it, I would have stuck the chicks back in the cage.

So far so good on dry food...wouldnt the mush be heavier?

If it was just the jaw I would think they might get better but both of them have twisted faces and missing one eye. That said I also think the one looks a little straighter. It will be very interesting to see.
