Sad day in our incubator =(

I feel horrible for my DH. He was really wanting some Appenzeller Spitz. and we got some eggs off of ebay. Today is the 22 day and we candled them and saw no movement. We opened the eggs....... 1 was developed but it must have only just died.

I feel super bad. I had 2 silkies hatch and he didn't have any hatch.

I know he's really upset, although he isn't saying it.

That stinks. Try getting some more, maybe you will have some better luck next time.

Hatching shipped eggs is just tough. You can have good luck and you can have rotten luck. You just dont know what those eggs have gone thru from being packed to getting to you. All I know is, just try again. You will get a good hatch, you just sometimes have to go thru a few hatches to do so.

i'm sorry to hear that.

maybe you can suggest him to do new hatch by trying to find as close as possible egg seller. the closer, the lesser time to get and the better handling will help *maintain* chance of success.
