Sad discovery... UPDATE

Do you think that's what is on her left foot?

I just thought it was because she was old and mistreated.

... and to think that they advertised her as a "laying hen"... I'll bet she hasn't laid an egg in many years.

She also needs a good dusting as well. And in molt if her feathers are rough looking. With the TLC you are giving her, I can not wait to see how she will "bloom" out to be!

You got a kind heart Mahroni!

I am glad you decided to bring her home. She looks shabby but happy! You did good. Before long I bet she is beautiful, she has the potential.

I doubt I could have walked away with only ONE! (I have an empty coop)

So glad you took her, please keep us updated! Poor thing!

with some TLC I bet she will be a pretty bird I would not have been able to leave with one either, are you sure that they rescued them and it was not them that had them, I am so skeptical of people any more. I always wonder if they are telling the truth.

Awww, so glad you rescued her! She looks like she'll be gorgeous when she fills in.

I also don't understand the saltwater...

Yes, I agree with thechickenchick, she looks like she has great potential. She is very lucky you came along. I would have done the same thing. And what is with the salt water? Yay for you for saving her!!!
