Well little chickie is still chugging right along.. She is very LOUD!... to say the least. I am keeping the topical antibiotic on her till tomorrow, her wound is starting to scab over, however it's not involving her vent. She seems a little lighter in weight today, but that could be just me. I did give her a few drops of Poly-vi-sol mixed with some water about 4:1. She is currently right now making a TON of noise.. I think a lot of that is due to her still being in the Hova... I will take her out tomorrow and put her in with her friend and some coronation sussex and seramas that are currently hatching. I was going to take her out today but I'm out of brooder lights..lol I hatched a bunch for our chicken expo Saturday. So my room, and the living room, sounds like a Hatchery!!!!!!... Peeping..
Little chickie stopped eating this morning and was cheeping Louder than normal. I checked on her several times today. My wife checked on her this afternoon and found her on her side in the cage. She was still responsive so we gave her drops of water and wrapped her in a towel. She passed about an hour later. Though she had a short life, she was well treated, and cared for.
I am assuming my fear of a bacterial infection came true.
