We hadn't. We are allowed roosters, just unsure if our neighbors would be happy. I am attached to the lighter white one. And the barred too though not as much as we suspected he was a rooster. The barred is quite quiet in demeanor. What are the chances of getting a docile rooster?do you plan on keeping any cockerels?
there are, personally i would pick the lighter one if you decide you want a rooster, i see that he is a brahma mix and brahmas are generally a pretty docile breed. if you dont like the crowing you can put a no crow collar on him, mine wears one. if you do plan on keeping him you will need to get more pulletsWe hadn't. what i would do if you want to keep him is wait until his hormones hit, if he begins to get aggresive get rid of him. it is a problem if a rooster is atacking people. i personally have never had an aggresive roosterWe have 1 small dog and a 9 yr old I worry about. Both dogs (80 lb and 9 lb) pay little attention to, and mostly steer clear of, the chickens, especially mama hen. LoL but the chickens are not as aggressive as a rooster.
