Ooooh nooo, Sara!!! I just now saw this thread and it breaks my heart! What a shock and a shame! I'm so very sorry. I, too, have lost a few special chickens that touched my heart in a forever way so I feel for you; I really do. Please know we are all here for you and are comiserating with your grief.

I'm so sad to hear that Sadie has died. I'm glad for you that you got to be with her in her final moment, to comfort her and to have some peace of mind for yourself.

Oh, I am so sorry about Sadie.You were so good to her.It breaks my heart when animals go thru such terrible things.I know God made people like you to take care of them...You are an angel in my book....

Thanks everyone. Its been hard. I haven't gotton out of bed the last few days. I have layed in bed and watched t.v. I don't watch t.v. What I have learned is there is a bunch of garbage on t.v. Snakeman goes back to work tomorrow night. It will be the first night back since the plant burned. He choose night shift again so I could keep going to my anorexia therapy. I don't like to leave my animals here alone and we have another fox in the area. This one is a gray fox. I hate it for the fox but it will have to go. I will get it together for all my other animals, I have so much life around me I don't have any other choice. If I had to do this whole thing over again I would have still tried to save her. She will be missed.
