Safe to candle day 13-16?

I was told by someone recently that you should not candle your eggs from day 13-16. I did last time but didn’t have a super hatch. I candled a lot, didn’t leave the eggs alone and got a bunch of random eggs from people so that could explain the poor hatch. Anyone else heard of this? I can’t find anything online on it.

I candle at day 7 or 10 then again at day 18 right before lockdown. Day 18 is your best chance to noticeably tell if any eggs should be discarded.
