I love the first 24 hours after a hatch, they’re perfectly happy to just hang out with you.
I’m happy you’re getting him a friend! I raised a lone duckling once, she was like yours, the only one to hatch from a small batch.. it was a great experience, but I don’t know if I could do it again!!
