Scorch studied her orb of flames and carefully moved closer. His eyes tailed the flames as it vanished and listened, "I take it those heartless humans destroyed something you love, such as family?" he gulped.

Es--shika sighed. "I suppose i have to tell you.." she paused. "A long time ago i used to come out here alot and i met a human. He was very kind and we became friends. He never knew i was a sgae and i never told him. One day the people of his village found out about me ahd came to kill me. He took an arrow for me so i could run..." She paused again and looked up. "When i came back a few days later he was dead..." She continued to stare at the sky wondering if her friend was watching.

'Wait you don't have to tell me." Scorch interrupted as she proceed on. He leaned back against the tree and looked up with her, "I could never trust a human, and I never thought a Sage would ever become friends with one." He kept blinking at the abnormal thought. He reduced his head and angled his vision on her again, "Tell me, what is it like to have a human friend, I never thought someone would have the guts to do it."
