Anna looked around at the men "Asking for it? An unarmed female and male, surrounded by all you with guns?" She shook her head with a small smile "People call me Anna, if you really must know. Now answer my question, why did you hurt my friend?"

Tod released his rifle and glared at her, "He murder my brother! " he screeched again. He directed to Chad'a motionless body.

Anna winced and looked to where he was pointing "Your brother was probably in the wrong place at the wrong time, Hasis is a hunter. Once an arrow is released, there is no stopping it." She finished quietly, looking to Hasis again, then glanced to Tod "Let me guess, you didn't bother to ask questions, just knocked him out to drag him here. Right?" She stepped closer to him "And let me take it a step farther, you wouldn't bother to ask anything, just kill him for your revenge. Which would do no one any good."

"You're wrong. " Tod glared hard, looking at Chad. "My brother and his friend Tyler were hunting down a white tiger that devoured our food supply. Chad returned and rested on his favorite boulder, but until a piercing arrow drilled his life away. Explain that one. "

"Already did" Anna said turning back to Hasis "Wrong place, wrong time." She turned to look back at Tod "You really want me to believe none of you have ever missed a shot, or hit something you were not aiming for?"
