So, I got 6 chicks. Thanks to this site I was warned early I had two Roos on my hands. Rehome, thank God I live near farms, rural. That said, I was told all of them were barred rock. But they are not! Can someone tell me what the little ones are? Same size when I got them, black ones not big AT ALL. Attaching pics

They look like black game hens from the way they're carrying their tails- nothing Australorp about them! Hope they have a gentle return policy!

Game hens? What are they? They won’t lay eggs?

Can you get pictures of the combs and bottoms of their feet. Bottom of foot is an indicator of skin color which is essential in determining black breeds. The type of comb is also. I'm thinking they could be Sumatras, but that breed has a pea comb. A picture of the comb could easily rule out many similar breeds

If they're game hens they'll lay eggs sporadically- but they're not known for their laying. Fun little bug catchers to have around!
