The Saipans I raised got taken out by a predator as well as the Egyptians. A Racoon we killed had gotten into a coop one night, and went on a rampage but we also had a hawk get a few birds free ranging, end result the Egyptians and Saipans is what got killed. Other breeds did fine free ranging. So I am deciding if I should try again with them. I am going to experiment with some new predator repeller devices over the winter to see how it affects the unwanted critters. Here is a photo of the three boys. I do like the breed.
