Hi BYC!

I need to rehome two of my guys. One is a Salmon Faverolles and a pure white Silkie. They are together now and not aggressive at all even after puberty. Just have too many Roos from the batch of straight run. I wish I could keep them all but just can’t. Willing to drive them within NJ and surrounding areas.

I’ve long considered having a rooster flock but it’s just not feasible right now. I’ve been doing research and haven’t gotten a solid answer on this.. If there is a rooster flock could they SEE the girls? Or would they have to completely separated and away so no hormones go crazy over the ladies?

It works both ways, in my experience. If they can see the hens, they might pace for a while, but will get over it.

No they aren’t. I say that because I used to have an ALL-DAYER he used to have a rhythm going and everything!! These guys I’d put to low. They are together now and they don’t have the need for a crow off. They’ll crow when I come in the mornings. Oh and I’ve also heard them sing the egg song!!
