Salmon Faverolles "pullet" starting to feather black...

Wow! Color variations like this are not at all what I was expecting with Salmon... thanks, I'd not seen these pictures! Yes - the hatchery stock isn't so hot... I won't buy through hatchery again.

Time will tell! I had also seen that the black feathering was roo related... I have never had Salmon Faverolles and was expecting a much lighter colored feathering.

I'd say pullet! I'd never go by coloring unless it's a sex linked... She's going to be a pretty bird, too!

She came from Ideal in Texas. She's not shown any other roo signs

Still saying pullet. My girls had quite a bit of black on them, but most of the black feathers have fallen out as they near 4 months and been replaced by pretty Salmon and white ones. Even if she keeps her black breast, I think you'll have a really pretty little hen there.

I ordered mine from ideal also. She looks like a girl to me. But I have not had this breed before so I'm not really one to guess. Lol

You have to keep us posted on how she feathers out
