Salted duck eggs??

Do they just taste like a normal hard boiled egg but salty?
they tasted like cheese. After fermentation, You have to hard boil them unless you will use them for Singaporean salted egg shrimp.

Many Asian KFC branches served this, I think it's the shrimp recipe applied to chicken.

In the Philippines, before selling they dye the hard boiled salted eggs red so people want fresh eggs won't accidentally buy them.

Yes a hard boiled egg is the common product which is used for mostly for salads but there are recipes in Asia that uses the raw salted egg like Singaporean salted egg shrimp and the Moon cake which uses the raw yolk as stuffing though they will get cooked eventually.
