Salted duck eggs??

I know, you don't want to cook an already cooked egg…
I was just asking myself how and when they dye the shells. Easter-egg - sounds like the simplest solution.
In the Philippines, they dye them like Easter eggs, but the only reason they do so is to differentiate the salted eggs in the marketplace. The name literally translates as "red egg," so some folks dye them because it's more authentic looking.
