Same breed, same age, one laying and one not??

We have the same issue. We have 3 amerucanas, one's a frizzle. They were all hatched the same day, Jan 31, 2010. Two are laying and one has yet to lay. These are our first chickens so I don't know all the terminology. The two laying have their tails up in the air and their combs are red. The one not laying has her tail lower and her comb is just now turning red. She is in the nesting box a lot rearranging but no eggs yet. Other than not laying she acts just like the other two so I don't think something is wrong. I also don't think she is a rooster. We started with 4 and had to take one back to the person were got them from because she turned out to be a he and we aren't allowed to have roosters in the city limits. The two laying took a little longer than 6 months to start I think because we had such a hot summer. It's still in the 90s here during the day. Should I be concerned or wait another couple of weeks.

Best to wait a couple more weeks. So long as you know there are no hidden nests anywhere, she'll start laying sooner or later.

We went on vacation and while we were gone she started laying. Our's seem to lay about every 30 hours so we don't get an egg from each hen everyday. That's fine with me but I didn't know if this is normal. As they mature, will they lay every day?

Yeah 20 weeks is pretty early to start laying--if they're all hens they will catch up. There are some that say the pullets that are slow to start will lay longer than the earlier ones. No reason to panic.
