I noticed this evening that one of my hens that is supposedly a silver laced Wyandotte has a single comb. She was next to another hen that is identical to her, but with a rose comb. Thoughts? Is it possible to have different comb types in a breed?

Single combs are recessive in wyandottes indicating both parent birds of your bird had the genes. When breeding is about quantity over quality (ie hatchery stock) selective breeding is not applied so you see these out of standard characteristics more often. A good breeder would not breed single combed birds and would remove parent birds from breeding as well (they would know paremt birds due to careful breeding and revords)

It is common in wyandottes to get birds with single combs. That's from hatcheries as well as reputable breeders.
There is a link to lower fertility in rose comb breeds so a lot of breeders breed single comb birds in their breeding stock. Wyandotte breeders are the worst at doing so.
Single is recessive to rose so breeders can use the single comb birds because when bred to a pure for rose comb the single comb gene will stay hidden and that's their way around the lower fertility.
I myself hate the idea of doing it but a lot of Wyandotte breeders do it.

this topic comes a long every now and then, I wonder if the OP used the search function properly,

Here is my post about it, from 2012 https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...andotte-with-single-comb.714166/#post-9749762

These are two of my three silver laced Wyandotte. Two of them have a single comb, and one has a rose comb.
