Is the hen hurt so bad that she needs to be culled?Quick question! Has anyone ever had a problem with roos killing a hen? I suppose the problem is that they are so very big and the hens are tiny and they continue to attempt to mount the poor girl at the same time. Seems as though she is a favorite.
Anyway, we will be culling her tomorrow. Our first cull. Ah.
If anyone is interested in one my of roos, please let me know. He's a JGxSilkie mix, very large, aggressive/protective of the flock. I've had him as an egg along with his brother, but, after this problem with the hens, we need to rehome him or cull him.
