Still looking around to see if anyone is available for carpooling to the Meet-up. I am in Lakeside. I'd love to come, and bring some chicks!

I just figured it might have been easier for you if I found a different ride, since I saw all the bad luck you've been having! But if you still want to then sounds good.

By the way, will there be somewhere I can plug in a heat lamp? Just want to make sure the chicks I bring don't get cold! I have a lamp I can bring. It's pretty powerful (more than it needs) so I have to tilt it so its only partly on the chicks - but that means if anyone else is bringing some, they can set theirs next to mine and get tons of heat too.

I think if you have good cardboard container just keeping them in the car would be enough. I gets pretty warm in a car these days.
