CHICKEN MATH!!! LOVE IT.... but seriously, i weighed a pullet egg of mine the other day and it was .1 oz, the same as a penny!! That hen has been consistantly laying itty bitty eggs!!! I had one of my roosters escape the other day and got in to a fight with a nother serama roo. I think many will think i am mean but. Them fighting was kinda funny, like ARE YOU SERIOUs BOYS!!! They we at it for only like 3 sec before i grabbed my little sdw and put him back with his girls and some mealworms!! Well TTYL

Cari: I wished I would have known you earlier! I do have some really nice LF Ameraucana, the "real deal", not the feed store ones, with APA winner blood lines. Where I live I cannot have roosters, so I gave mine to 4-H kids and they won several So-Cal shows with them. Are you planning to stick to these colors? I have pure white and pure black Ameraucana as well as Silver. Mine have just started to lay, the blue eggs are so pretty. Good luck with your hatch!!!

I have been looking for these guys for a little bit. Hopefully these hatch well, but I am also interested in Silvers and Lavenders... Just depends on how much room I got/ get... trying to talk bf into JUST ONE MORE pen...

Speaking of Ameracuanas, my Lavenders are hatching as I type.

More awesome is that they are shipped eggs and I only pulled one at lockdown. It was porous. Not to jinx myself but I see pips in all but 1 right now.

And lastly... Some of you may know I have been looking for a job for almost a year since I got let go of my last one... And well, yesterday I got a call from the OH department at school and they are offering me a job in the Nursery... YAY!!!! I am SOOOO happy to finally have a job again... and one that I will enjoy at that!!! Hmm lets see.... another chicken yard.... shed.... trash cans.... more food.... maybe some more rabbit cage stands... DEFINITELY more eggs.... LOL!!!! YAY!!!! I can't express enough how happy I am!!!

But is is also nice to have some time off too.

You were on the same boat that I am still in, I worked 16 years as an inventory control specialist in my last job and was downsized, and I am still looking.

Who here watches the bidding on the eggs for sale ? Peachick sold almost $200 worth of hatching eggs. Some one paid $100 for 6+ ameraucana eggs. WOW I can't help but think that some folks are caught up in the gamble of the bid. Makes me think that some folks have more money than they know what to do with it, but that is just my opinion.

Allison, During the night more hatched.

We are up to 7 or 8 now, can't count because they keep moving w/ the flashlight. I can confirm 3 lavenders so

maybe there is a pullet in there.

I am so AMAZED that these shipped eggs are doing so well. I had some so so hatches and cracked eggs. Of the ones not hatched, every one has a pip.

There are too few eggs and shipped eggs are usually 50% and they are coming from a cold place right now and it could be worse. Knowing my luck, I will hatch 2 eggs and both will be roos.

I will wait, I am sure the market will be flooded in no time. Be patient as my granny would say.
