Yayyyyyy Cari! So happy to hear your good news . . . maybe it will rub off in our direction - my husband was laid off almost 2 years ago. I only do a little math tutoring on the side, so we could really use employment and benefits! (I think the chickens have been a great distraction for me, and are keeping me sane.) Anyway, he just had a phone interview w a company in Oregon - wish us luck!

Sunny, No! Not much frost here. It is difficult to grow Cherries here and I was tempted to try the Minnie Royal and Royal Lee because it only needs 200-300 chill hours but need to plant both and I quite honestly do not have any room left.

Unless it is roof top.

I have been fighting a cold and trying to put my garden in. Between the running nose and the sneezing, I had to give up yesterday. But while out there I saw some of my stone fruit budding. Not sure which at this point because I was running in the house.

Yeah, I have no patience for slackers. I have limited space and if it does not taste good or slacks, a chain saw will take it down.

My family thinks I am off my rocker but I feel if it does not produce, it has to go and I will put something in it's place that will.

Al, Sure! I hear that they are hard to sex. Will have to wait for a egg or a crow.

I have a feeling I am going to have to grow them out a bit.

And who knows, I might end up with ALL pullets. I know, I know. A girl can dream can't she?
