San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Hi - Thank you for your response. I would appreciate seeing pictures. Do you have them in breeding pens by color?

Thanks again!

Laurel

My kids have used all my pens for separating their birds by color....
My silkies are in a few different flocks but the colors are mixed. I am actually enjoying them more that way though. The colors that have been happening as a result are very pretty.
Here is a picture of a hen with her chicks.

And a picture of some almost grown chicks from another hatch...

Hello, I have a question? How many quail eggs do you get? How big are the peafowl eggs? I want to make a large jar of pickled quail eggs ( a bunch) Would you sell some or know of someone who does...without breaking the bank. Thanks.

My quail are Valley, Gambels and button. You would want coturnix or maybe Bobwhite eggs for pickling. They are less expensive and a bit larger.
The peafowl eggs are about 3" long, not sure about weight. I sell them for $20. an egg...

Hey does anyone have some fertilized eggs or day old chicks they would want to sell? We just put up a 13/16 coop with attached run for my 4 hens and we are wanting to add 2 or 3 to the flock. I would LOVE to add a little duckling to the mix, if anyone has some ducklings being hatched. :)
