No, sorry I do not have canopies, but I just bought my first umbrella in SoCal EVER....

Rain or shine, I will be there.

I'm still game for Sunday, as long as its not pouring.

Hatching Fever- If we do have the meet up, I might be interested in a dozen eggs or so, if the price is right. I'd be donating them to my daughters school, for their big spring science fair. My deadline is 2/25 to get into the incubator on time, so if the meet up doesn't happen, I probably wouldn't have enough time to get them from you. Let me know what you're asking for the eggs, first of all, and then we can wait and see how the meet up goes.

Sorry...no tents either! I'm sure the rain will be pasted by Sunday. At least I hope!

I'm still in it for Sunday unless I can't pick up my new little hens from wwmicasa1. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed big-time!

I have an "easy-up" canopy - not sure if it is waterproof though.....I am up for Sunday too, even if the weather is iffy - especially if our feed arrives!

No Canopies, but I think we have a camping tent. Not sure how useful that will be??

I was thinking of bringing some chicks that are about 3 weeks old if there is interest. If not will keep them nice and warm at home if it is cold.
BCM and Barnevelders from wthchristie,
Splash BLRW from Hoppy's last year eggs,
Some blue and white silkies (Mary Robbins).
Also have some of Kevs chicks. Dad is BLRW mom is laced NN. Most of the chicks are not NN, but they are big and super super friendly. Not sure if they will be laced though as none have grown up yet.

Also happy to share feed. Feed is feed. Mine eat anything

My biggest concern (re: Sunday) is not being able to keep the babies dry. Usually a cold, wet chicken is a dead chicken if not dried immediately. Also I may not be able to traverse our dirt road (2/3 mile) to the highway as when it rains the road becomes jello. I would hate to miss the meetup but if it is raining that morning at my house, I may have to pass.

The following weekend doesn't work for me because I switched from this weekend to next for my appt. so I could attend the meetup

What a bummer~!

Ok lets try to keep it going for Sunday. I am going to try and buy a popup canopy tomorrow. Empire, if you can bring yours it will help. The location is right next to a building and bathrooms, maybe we can run a cord for power to keep chicks warm. I didn't think to look for outlets, there may be some. Cari, your ez up may still be useful even though it's small, just to keep stuff dry.

We may get lucky and not even have rain, but I am up for the adventure rain or shine. I'll bring whatever I can find to help. Maybe we can use heat packs or something for the chicks too. I will look into it.
