Can anyone use a free brooder? I had a two story metal brooder that we took apart to make a table top brooder for my new chicks. Here's a photo of the one we made. The second photo is of the bottom half of the brooder that is available. The metal attachments on the sides can be removed. It's a bit worn and rusty in places and the wheels are rusted solid, but it makes a great little brooder. There are shields on the sides to keep bedding under control, a wire mesh bottom, and a good size access door. I use a plastic oil drip pan to catch shavings on the bottom on mine. My babies love it and it beats the heck out of my purple Rubbermade brooder. Please PM me or let me know on this thread if you are interested.
