Nancy: Congratulations on your first egg - how "eggciting"!!! I guess all the mealworm protein has finally paid off here.

Oh and talking about protein: my carnivore chickens really do not have a lack of protein with all the mealworms I feed. However, they decided that it was time for some different protein: last week they have killed a wild baby bunny in the run, today one of my ladies caught a mouse and all the others have tried to get their fair share of it........

Have you ever seen what a flock of hungry chickens will eat? Don't feed them that much and they will eat the mice and chase the squirrels.

Yeah! Don't get me started on hungry chickens! They run out of feed for half a day and my wild flighty broilers turn into human loving mobbers! They try to eat ME from the toes up!
