End of Jan or early part of Feb sounds like it would work for most folks. I look forward to meeting you the SDCC(San Diego Chicken Club as Cari calls it).
New to this does anyone use kings pro am show and grow for their show chickens
or the layer for their hens? I heard it is supposed to be great stuff.
Everyone was using it at the victorville APA show for their show Bantams.
thanks for any info
to ChickensR2addicting, I don't give anything special to mine so I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I was at the Victorville show too!
Okay folks, I propose the next meet-up at Dos Picos park on Sat., Feb. 25. I'll host and Renee said she'd help so I'm officially calling her co-host
Chicks days is the weekend before, weather should be nice too. If you have any items you'd like to donate for either prizes or a raffle please PM me.
I know I'll have some Swedish Flower cockerels available. Yep, I ended up with mostly boys, but on the up side all but one are crested. They're very pretty too!!
We'll provide more details as we work them out. Please mark your calendars so we'll have a great turnout!!
************Hatching eggs/chicks for Breast Cancer Research**********
Long story but basically DH and I were going to do a loooooong bike ride this summer from somewhere in Washington state to Vancover (Canada) in support of breast cancer research. Turns out that despite the necessity to raise $2,500 per rider just to ride, the event is fully booked
(unless people drop out).
Anywho, we, as I am sure most of you, know someone who has or had breast cancer and have decided to help sponsor another rider anyway even if we dont get to go ourselves.
So to fund raise I thought I would offer a hatching service as I have just got that new humungo Brinsea bator and am cutting back drastically on incubation this year myself**
Basically happy to incubate your eggs, or shipped eggs and you just donate to the breast cancer fund whatever you want. Anything, even a small donation helps.
I only ask that you do not have any active disease in your flocks (fowl pox, coccidia, mareks etc), eggs are clean, and that all chicks are collected promptly. Of course I cannot guarantee a hatch, but will give the eggs their best shot
.
SO would anyone be interested???
AND BTW 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer
. That means US ladies. That is scary. We need to find a cure for this. Will add official link to event (need to ask DH).

Wow it looks very much like the WineO-Bator
I may take you up on this.... In the picture it looks new... Have you fired it up yet? I am getting some Sumatra eggs in the spring. And am very nervous about hatching them myself.
