I may have some roosters free to whoever wants them. One is a small (bantam) black copper Marans, the other also a BCM but not as smallish, but they are related so both may be carrying dwarfing/bantam genes. I have one Barred Olive Egger Roo, he is something like fourth or fifth generation olive Egger. I think he's double barred, too. There is a chance that he may be carrying lavender as I had the hens in with 2 OE roos and one lavender Ameraucana last year. I don't mind if you process them, though the OE roos would be a good investment for anyone with an OE program, the Marans line used to develop them was one with very very dark egg color, and all of my roos have good manners, no worries about being flogged. The hen's egg color is very dark olive green. I have a couple of other roos as well. Let me know anyone who might be interested. I just wormed my flock, so if u plan on processing, keep in mind they were dosed with ivermectin recently and u might want to wait a while for drug withdrawl.
I also am looking to part with some really nice pedigreed young rabbits - you can show them or whatever. $15 - $25 ea, discount for trios or large purchases.
MINI REX:
Black Otter Jr. Buck - Like velvet!
Tricolor Blue, Orange & white junior doe.
Broken Lilac? Jr. buck
Broken Blue Jr. Doe
Broken Tort?/not sure very unusual color, looks like a dark orange/castor fading to blue tort? Really pretty. Jr. Doe
Lilac Jr. Buck, no pedigree, but great type and lines, would be good to show
Older (4 yrs) Broken Castor Doe, needs to be kept off wire. Was a breeder, now enjoying retirement. Free to the right home, will come with a cage. (This is a BYC offer, not offering her to the general public, I will keep her myself until the right place comes up for her. She lives in my house right now. She had trouble with sore hocks, a common mini rex problem on wire, so NO wire!!! Her feet are slowly recovering, but it will still be a while before they are 100% She could be a good showmanship rabbit, or just a nice pet, she can be a bit cage protective, but she isn't very serious about it.
Some good breeding combos could be the Black otter buck and the 2 broken jr. does. The lilac buck and the broken does, the tricolor blue/orange doe may carry lilac, so also a good combo.
ALSO: Does anyone here have electric sheep shears that I could rent for a day (to shear my ewe), or can I pay any of you to shear my ewe? I can transport her to you. Let me know, I want to shear her in the spring.
