San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Hey everyone... I just found out Costco in Santee carries chicken feed.... didnt recognized the brand and it was just called Layer. 14 bucks a bag.

I always like to note places other than feed stores in case of an emergency.

I wonder if the one in Vista is selling it too? Will have to check on my next trip.
If they don't, ask... Big box stores like Costco and Walmart have a central distribution facilty.... a mega wearhouse where they get alot of their stuff through. Enough people ask and they will stock it to see if it sells.

Does anybody have a animal trap they'd be willing to lend out? Pretty pretty please with an egg on top?!?! We've got this skunk that will NOT go away. I'd rather not poison it and those traps are not the cheapest things in the world. I'm in La Mesa and can drive anywhere nearby. Thanks so much!!

I have one but I am in Hemet.

We have had skunk problems repeatedly because we have a raised shed which apparently is nice and dry and safe to sleep under. DH found out that skunks do not like bright light so he directed a work light under the shed and left it on every night from dusk till dawn for a couple of weeks and the skunk found another nice dry shed.
