PEOPLE PEOPLE !!!! You are not helping me!!! the urge is sooooo strong, OK Who wants to see baby modern bantams at the next gathering, COME one Who wants me to get UMM. OH the CC is out and i am looking them up on line, They are itty bitty, OHHH this sucks, i have no restraint, i fail at dieting, and i fail at saying no to chickens.

OK mine are little, they dont take up much space,

they eat very little compaired to most other chickens RIGHT???

And i do have 6 extra out door cages i was storing at a friends house for EMERGENCY USE !!!

Oh yeah better believe it my card NBR went through i have 8 chicks coming before the gathering

Sudden rush of relief, i wander what i will find next!!

No, not lately! I'm not letting them free-range anymore...for now... they wait at the gate for me to let them out every time I go out back. Someone said chickens were dumb, but these ladies are smarter then my dog! And I think they can see me from the run into the house. If I stand in the kitchen they stop what they're doing and look sideways at the french door. I just know they can see me!!

Then I feel like I should go out and visit with them!!

I will be heading up to Laurel's to pick out some pullets as soon as my friend reclaims her chickens from me. The only bad part about having 15 free-ranging birds here is all the darn POOP everywhere! And is it just me, or is roo poop way nastier than hen poop? Gack.

Carahamer, that pic of the modern game bird is killing me. And the weird thing is, I think I like it!!! I love hearing everyone here talk about their chicken obsession and lack of restraint, I feel so at home (and normal).

OK Check this out!! Not good, I ordered first 6 red pile Modern game chicks from Ideal poultry!!!
OK six straight run, she said can you order more so they are warm during shipping possible total of 20!!! self restraint set in i said i'll take 10!!!
She said would you like any other color varieties, I said NO!!!

She said well then i have to give you 25 male chicks on the hosue to fill the box at our expense, so your chicks can stay warm during shipping. My jaw hit the ground.

I wanted one rooster to go with my new stilt hen ended up getting 6 unknown sex modern game chicks and

So i have decided to help and lacking in the chicken department BYC people that come to the gathering, i will have FREE CHICKS, what ever extras they put in the box can go to some other chicken crazy person!!! I have no idea how i am going to tell my BF!!

Cara- (and to anyone else whom this might apply) I will take all unwanted rooster babies and/ or packing peanuts... They will get great lives here, treated well, all organic food, and freeranging most of the day every day.

And then when the times comes they will be used to feed my family and will be processed quickly and humanely.
