anyone here raising quail? i have a few japanese quails but can't find any feed store that sell game birds feed in san diego. please reply if you guy have any information where can i find them.

Where to get food? I order it from Jamul Feed in Jamul, but you can use UN-medicated turkey starter for them also.

I get gamebird feed from Carter's hay and grain in Lakeside. Turkey Krackett is the same thing as gamebird feed.

quail required higher protein feed don' t they? i am new to quails.

yes, gamebird feed and turkey feed are higher in protein. 20%+ It's what my quail and pheasants eat.

I think I've seen game bird feed at Hawthorne Feed in Escondido, but I can't be positive, its not something I shop for, I just think I've noticed it on their display boards before.

As for April 23rd, I'm free after 12:00pm, so meet up, or just feed pick up, I don't mind driving down to see everyone. I know that's Easter weekend, but I don't usually have plans. I'm sure I could escape from anything for a couple hours anyways.

If there's anybody in north county who wants feed but can't come get it, I'd be happy to grab yours and bring it back here.

I have another hen trying to be broody! Ugh. Is it catching? She was only sitting on golf balls... I took them. I think one broody at a time is plenty.
