Allison, Thanks! I will pm you my address. I hope it works out. Like I really need more chickens.
Not sure where your son lives but I am in the San Gabriel Valley bordering Orange County. I can always meet him somewhere if that works.
Compared to your spread, my ladies are living in TIGHT quarters. I will try to get a pic of the place. I bought horse property w/out any horses. Thought the dogs would enjoy the place.

Allison, Does your friend still have the pullets? I would be interested but not sure when I will be in SD.
I also wanted to let you know that I still have both scruffy hens from you. The move was harder on the Buff Orpington. She hangs out at the nest box more than I would like. Edna has blended right in and is one of my FAV's.
She is not far from my feet looking for handouts. She is laying a HUGE egg. The BO is a freeloader.
Hope all is well with your flock.
Nancy
Hi Nancy, I just spoke with her last night so I'm pretty sure she still has them. I'll see how long she's willing to hold onto them. If you PM your address maybe I can see if you're anywhere close to my son and he could bring them up to you the next time he's down here.
I'm glad you're still enjoying the girls. You'll have to post pics of your new place. I'm adding to my flock with Swedish Flower Hens. I chose them because of their friendliness, hardiness and variety of color they offer. I have two in my brooder and will be getting more eggs soon. I hope to build up a decent flock.
Good hearing from you!!
