My honey went out and put a bunch of cinderblock on top of the roof, and it stopped doing the moving thing. He then wrapped up the rest of the thing (except the vent edge) like a christmas present, and now I can't see the wind blowing much at all inside, so I feel a little better. Apparently so do the girls, as they deserted my office and have decided that they want to be in there near the food dispenser more than they want comfort from Mom, so they're locked up tight for the night. Isn't that always the way of it.
The direction the tree is blowing now, I think maybe the chicken coop might be a safer bet (if my bedroom is on the "Storm Damage" section of the news tomorrow, I'll wave). Maybe I'll sleep out there with them instead. Either way, I will only make four trips during the night to check on them. Six would be excessive.
Wow - lots of rain coming down now. Stay safe and dry, everyone!
