added a few quail to the mix.
just an FYI dont send live quail in the mail,i did a trade for some and lost all but these 2 little fuzzy butts.so sad but didnt know better.
on the good side these 2 made it and are doing so good.that is a cover to a juice bottle.so tiny, the size of a thumb.
It has been around a week since we received them so i think they will make it.

also went over to get a cream separator for the goat milk and this lady gave me, yes gave me 2 chocolate runner duck hens.holly cow i was excited more then getting the separator.they have not started to lay yet but look almost full grown.i forgot to ask her their ages.she recived 2 chocolates when she ordered blacks so she didnt want them.
friends for walter when she /he gets older.

Wow cool; a cream separator! Awesome! And two VERY pretty new duckies! How cool!

Your little baby quail look good. If you have had them a week already I would say they are probably doing fine. Are you feeding them gamebird starter? They need close to 30% protein. Sorry you lost so many. Are you still interested in the Covey I have? You little ones will be big enough in just a few weeks to put with them.

Cari I would take another bunny if it were female. I never did catch those two but one of them comes around and visits and enjoys apple chunks. She is calm and stays in the yard as along as I do not try to catch and contain her. If I had another she might hang out more frequently and for longer periods. Only problem with getting another from you is the distance. When is the next meet-up ?

i am interested in the quail but the distance is prohibitive.

That's very sad Renee...too small to ship live for sure. :(

Congratulations on your chocolate ducks. They sound awfully cute. Glad Walter has some buddies.

Cari, I have a cockerel about 7 weeks old I don't want to keep. If you meet Renee somewhere do you want this guy for your grow out pen? I'm giving the pullet to someone but don't have place for him. I'm trying to get birds squared away...at least for now! Let me know so I can work it out with Renee...if Renee says ok. :D
