Neither my hubby or I could make it to the meet-up. I had work and was sick - he was volunteering with the El Cajon Relay For Life (family tradition).
I'm sorry I missed seeing you all but I'm sure there will be a next time soon.
Now to brag about my hubby. Briefly talked to him last night (he came home from the relay to feed everyone since I am sick - he's so awesome) and brought up that the D'Anver chicks need seperating from mama since she is laying again. Also warned him that our little Americauna/Barred Rock cross that has been living in our son's room will need to be moved out because he is getting ready to crow. Sure enough - this morning little Andy squeeked out his first attempt of a crow. So hubby and son went to the feed store, got supplies, and all the chicks are in their own brooder in the Chicken Room of the barn (used to the be the Feed Room until we got the D'Anvers and the Chicken Room is seperate from the main coop that is the size of two horse stalls).
So...if anyone is interested in D'Anvers please let me know. Also, if anyone has any pullets that will have green/blue eggs around Andy's age I am interested.
Onto the ducks! My male Pekins are totally in love with the rescued girls from the lake so they are keepers for sure. However, Beaker, the Muscovy, is very jealous. I would appreciate Muscovy hens if anyone know of any in the area.
