I am going as well. I will be bringing a BEAUTIFUL Black Rosecomb hen. She is about one year now and I need to rehome her. She is getting abit rowdy for my Seramas so....sniff..sniff....

There will be lots of birds at the meet up. I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding a couple to take home.Well, I realise that, unless I want to BUY eggs, I need to add to my very small flock. I currently have 4 girls that are a little over two years, 2 of them have stopped laying completely (no, they are not moulting)- actually one of then never really layed much anyway,I'd say maybe 2 dozen eggs in her lifetime LOL, But, she's sweet and entertaining...
So, I'm looking for two pullets/point of lay, 5 monts would be perfect ;-) I'm not too fussy on breed, but, do want something that should lay well. My chickens are very spoilt, their "day run" is about 40ftX 40ft, with pepper tree shade, and a large salad bar, organic feed and lots of treats... I have been checking craigslist, but, really would rather deal with someone from this group. I don't want to start with chicks, partly because I would like them laying sooner rather than later, but, the size difference would make integration an issue. While they don;t need to be tame, it would be really nice if they weren't completely feral and unsocialised.
Anyone have any birds to offer, I'm planning on joining the meet-up (first-timer), but, could make other arrangements if that doesn't suit.
