Well, I realise that, unless I want to BUY eggs, I need to add to my very small flock. I currently have 4 girls that are a little over two years, 2 of them have stopped laying completely (no, they are not moulting)- actually one of then never really layed much anyway,I'd say maybe 2 dozen eggs in her lifetime LOL, But, she's sweet and entertaining...

So, I'm looking for two pullets/point of lay, 5 monts would be perfect ;-) I'm not too fussy on breed, but, do want something that should lay well. My chickens are very spoilt, their "day run" is about 40ftX 40ft, with pepper tree shade, and a large salad bar, organic feed and lots of treats... I have been checking craigslist, but, really would rather deal with someone from this group. I don't want to start with chicks, partly because I would like them laying sooner rather than later, but, the size difference would make integration an issue. While they don;t need to be tame, it would be really nice if they weren't completely feral and unsocialised.

Anyone have any birds to offer, I'm planning on joining the meet-up (first-timer), but, could make other arrangements if that doesn't suit.

I have the Cream Legbar laying hens that are about 6 to 8 months old and lay beautiful blue eggs. I think I have Blue Breda and Olandsk Dwarf also laying.

I may have hatchery quality crested and non-crested Cayuga ducklings available in late June. My hen duck decided to go broody. These are nice sturdy ducks with mild temperaments. I have 1 duck and two drakes and the drakes never gang up on her or over-breed her. The eggs she lays range from light to medium grey.

I would like duck hatching eggs if anyone will have some to bring, I might have silkie eggs or bantam cochins eggs if anyone wants some. I think I will bring a fresh fruit salad.
