How old are they? Orpington? The Lav is looking a bit redder and bigger waddles that the 2 buffs.... Need a standing side shot because I'm nosy and wanna take a guess at gender.

It looks like you're using the TS flakes. I've found those difficult to work with as litter because they are so big. The pine shavings might work better because they are finer. Same price.

Oops. I saw some pine shavings tbat said fine and some said flake. Comments seemed to say the fine are too dusty.

Pine shavings; it depends on the size, and the source. From TSC Michigan, I prefer the fines. From the local feed store, either will do. How can you tell? Buy some and find out! If the texture doesn't work in one place, use it elsewhere, or under the stuff you like better. Mary

I have the same coop. I use pine shavings -the flakes- and pdz on the tray. I just scoop out from the closest area, the pull the tray out so that I can get to each section. I don’t scoop all of it though just poos. I then level it all back out and add more shavings when needed. I also am reusing the shavings in the run since they are barely soiled.

I like that you have a fenced in area for your girls. I just added an extension to the front, but I know they would love more room.

Mine sleep in the shavings and they are older. As long as they are in the coop, I’m ok with it.

Thank you, I have worked hard on my run. My hope is to buy another dog run like this one, connect them, cover the same way. That would expand the run from a 10x10 to a 10x30!
