I use play sand and have never had an issue with my ducks feetHas anyone had issues with the sand when it's hot out and burning the ducks feet? Sand sounds like the solution I need. I currently have rubber paverstones down and I use a metal paint scraper to scoop the poo every few days. It's not to bad when it's hot and stuff can dry out quickly but it's been moderately wet here and it's a bog everyday.
flaxbiose is clean, does not smell and no lice problems., you can find their poop in a lump which is easy to pick out and dispose of thus reducing waste. i have just started using it for the last month and now swear by it. beats all other substratesUp until now we’ve been primarily using straw as substrate for our ducks. However we’ve been having issues with flies and smell, so I’m wondering if sand would be a better choice for bedding?
