Sand bath...

I just made a little sand bath container for my babies (9 days old)...they just wanted to eat it...so I took it out. Will they be ok if the ingested the sand??

This is 100% okay nothing to worry about!
the sand is actually pretty good for them. It is considered Grit chickens eat larger Pebbles whereas chicks eat chick Grit which is the consistency of sand. Chickens that free-range do you pick up grit in different forms naturally
