Last year when I got my Holderread order of 5 Penciled Runners I ended up with 5 drakes! LOL! Usually when I get my order from them it's a nice mix of genders. Luck of the draw on the straight run I guess 
I like Sand Hill's ethic. But, like Holderread, it's a husband and wife team and they have a fairly small operation. Last year I placed a large order and because of the timing of the hatches and the fact that I requested "no substitutions" it made it hard for them to fill my order. They had a power outage or something and lost a huge number of hatches last year so they just sent me a refund check. I was disappointed but, honestly, it says right there on the website that they're super small and will do there very best to fill your order... I'll make sure to order 25 or less ducks from them next time.
