I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD PUT SAND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE 28 GAL FISH TANK I HAVE THEM IN OR WILL THE SAND HURT THEM IF THEY EAT IT I KNOW THE CHICK FEED IS THE SAME COLOR BUT THEY KNOW WHERE THERE FOOD IS.

They will eat the sand. Use pine (NOT cedar shavings) and read up on the BYC section on raising baby chicks. You should put paper towels or some old sheeting on top of the shavings for the first few days. Remember not to use newspaper, it is too slippery for them. Good luck with your peeps.
