WOW Missprissy!!!! That spinning wheel is beautiful. I weave and have never tried to spin. Trying to find the right wools here in Florida to make my rugs is a chore.

I usually have to end up getting them on line.
Maybe next year I'll try spinning but I can see where hubby could get mad with that one. "OH LOOK HUNNY AT THE COAT ON THAT RABBIT...SHEEP.....GOAT....DOG.....CAT......LLAMA.......ALPACA!!!!!! I can just see him rolling his eyes and shaking his head.

This is the one we have from Great-Grandmothers. It has held up well, no holes at all and over 100 years old.

Okay, dumb question, but inquiring minds wish to know... how do you get the hair from Peter? Do you brush it out or does it shed naturally, or???

Does the wheel turn it into "yarn" and then from the "yarn" you make clothing???

Thanks for not rolling your eyes at me

I already have quail. He has PEACOCKs!!!

And, yes, Peter has to be shaved with an electric shear or hand shears. Regular angoras you pull their fur as they shed. He won't shed. He has to be shaved.

The spinning wheel spins fiber into yarn. Then I can knit, crochet, learn to weave, etc.
