Saphire Gem... Hen or Rooster?

We are new chicken owners and have the typical question.... hen or rooster?

These two are the same age. Both are supposed to be hens but look completely different. Can you please end the argument between our family of 6 before we murder eachother?

I think you have 1 rooster (the barred bird) and one hen (the blue/grey).

No need for murder. The first bird is a cockerel, and the second is a pullet.
