So I got these from Tractor Supply, all supposedly pullets. Two Sapphire Gems, two Sapphire olive eggers and two Calico Princess chicks. Now I’m reading that a white spot on the head (of the two olive eggers) is a sex linked characteristic of males. Or are olive eggers a different rule? The others in the bin all had the white spot as well. It’s hard to find info on these cross breed chickens. Also, maybe there’s a possibility they aren’t even Sapphire Gems? I can’t seem to find an answer and now I’m hoping I don’t have roosters

I had the same thing happen to me at TSC with sapphire gems aka blue production. Two of three had white dots, 2 were roosters and 1 pullet. However.... I was able to sell one of the roosters for $30. I worked with them, hand raised them daily and they are very sweet and respectful. The man that bought him said he had never seen a woman be able to hold and handle a rooster like that in his life. LoL Good luck with all your new chicks. :)

Oh boy that’s where I think I’m going to end up. Well they seem pretty sweet so far so hopefully I can find someone to take any roosters I’ll end up with. They’re super pretty and unique

They really truly are. We love the pair that we kept, and hubby loves to let the Roo out in the evening, it follows him around while he does his evening chores. LoL
