Sapphire Gems

Hi everyone!

I bought some day old Sapphire Gems probably a month and a half ago. They're two weeks younger than my hatchlings but are teeny compared to my hatched chicks.

For them only being two weeks younger, they're honestly half the size.

Are Sapphire Gems a smaller breed? Not bantam sized but just a smaller breed. My chicks are a mix of EE x BLRW and just tower over the Sapphires. I'll have to get images in the morning, since they're all in bed and it's dark out.

Mine matured about 4.5-5.5 lbs, about the same size as most andalusians or sex links but bigger than leghorns. But they were huge as chicks, because the eggs are so big. at 6 weeks old yours should be fully feathered and molting into their adult feathers also. Mine started laying right at 18 weeks.
