I've read lobes do matter. Red means brown eggs white means white and olive means well green or blue. This has always been consistent with the birds we have.

I actually read it on this site. I get my birds from a local breeder. Olive Eggers of Tennessee. She's literally 10 min from me. Wasn't saying I was right just saying what I read and it's consistent with the hens I have.

You can't believe everything you read - some people think they know things they don't. It might be consistent with what you've got, but I also have experience with this.

For example - silkies often have blue earlobes. They lay white eggs. Crested Legbars? White earlobes, blue eggs. Penedesencas - white earlobes, dark brown eggs.
I think you've just got some pretty Olive Eggers. It's likely one parent was a CL.
