Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :

She may not be the best, she is certainly not the worst, and she may not share 100% of the beliefs of anyone in the country - sheesh, who could?! - but my belief in her is that, if it does come to it, she will do an outstanding job as VP. And I am not just saying that because I'm an Alaskan woman, either.

I was going to vote for the Constitution Party candidate until last night.

Sarah Palin changed my mind. Never since Ronald Reagan have I wanted to vote for someone more. I'm still not a big John McCain fan and I've met him personally... sat right next to him at a Bush fund raiser 5 years ago. I have a client who has worked in his Phoenix office for many years and she really likes him.

I do believe though that he will attempt to shrink government by cutting wasteful spending. I do believe that he will get us out of Iraq. I do believe that he will try to keep us safe and that he will truly push alternative energy plans. I also believe that he will try to protect the integrity of the constitution by appointing good judges to the court of last resort.

I'd vote for Sarah Palin as President in a heartbeat. She has common sense and not all of the speech was written by a speech writer. For a minute or so, the tele-prompter went down and she just add libd until it came back up... that's when she told them all she was a "hockey-Mom". grrrr..... w/ lipstick.

Hopefully in two months, it will all be over but the transition.

I think it takes more than charisma and common sense to be Vice President, let alone President.

I don't talk about politics much but John Mcain gave a heak of a speech tonight and I am really split about who I should support (I can't vote not old enough)

* I have to say though, I agree with those who have inferred that we do need to find a way to "stick a pin" into the hump of Congress. These "thumb-twiddling, my- pockets-are-deeper- than-his-pockets" drag it out antics are getting REALLY annoying, IMO.

Seriously asking, not trying to be argumentative at all, just trying to understand where you are coming from. What about Palin makes you say you would vote for her for President? What about her makes you think she would be good for the job?

I love Sarah's Confidence. McCain needs to get the Republican Party " Fixed". I think THEY can do it. I think Obama is a nice man and a gifted orator BUT I will vote for McCain. At least this time it's not the Same ol' Same o'. I haven't been this interested in an election in years.

IMHO senators are just not good presidential material (If someone says JFK I'd nearly be sick)- governors are better. Which of course makes this race a little depressing for me with senators abounding.

If Governor Palin wasn't making such a positive impact for Senator McCain's campaign we would not be talking about her now. It appears that she has actually had some experience doing the things that Senator Obama says that he would like to do. She seemed to just come out of nowhere and eat his lunch!

For goodness sake, Obama's campaign has been spending the last couple of days debating if he is more experienced than his opponent's running mate! Not a good spot to be in.

Best of luck to you all!
