No matter who gets elected, we are in for some rough sledding for the next couple of years. Remember, government cannot give something to anyone unless it first takes it away from someone else. And we are really running short on people to take wealth away from.
There is no free lunch. Someone has to pay the bills. If you think you are about to get free health care, you are sadly mistaken.
The degree of personal debt in this country is astounding. We have not even begun to see the light in the real estate crisis. People are living on credit rather than changing their lifestyle.
I recently checked on the ownership of some commercial properties I sold in the 1980's. All of them had passed into the hands of Chinese living abroad.
The wealthy now live in the far east and middle east. They are beyond our capacity to tax them.
As labor unions make industry unprofitable in the USA, ownership gets sold off to foreigners. Of course they take the company overseas. Try and buy something that isn't made in China. It is almost impossible. It is only a matter of time until all automobiles and trucks will be made overseas. We are seeing the de-industrialization of America.
We are becoming unwelcome guests in our own country. More and more of our real estate is passing into the hands of foreigners.
Our children will be reduced to delivering pizzas and flipping burgers for a living.
It is better to buy something used in the second hand store than to buy something new that is made in China.
